Ya su Greece!
After 16 years of adventures together, we thought it time to share the next big one with you, our nearest and dearest!

We live a long way from many of you and don't get to see you nearly as much as we would like so please join us for three days of frivolity on one of our favourite Greek islands, Hydra.
Covid has done its best to to keep us apart, so here's something to look forward to. Start planning your travels and we will see you in Greece!
The Island
Pronounced Eid-rah. This relaxed and utterly charming island is an easy 60-90min ferry from Athens' harbour. It's one of the easiest Greek islands to get to!

Often referred to as Greece's answer to Italy's Capri. The Island is protected by an archaeological law where nothing can be changed, even extending to no motorised vehicles & bikes being allowed. Instead you must use your feet, a boat or the local taxi - a friendly mule! It's a pretty special time capsule.

Give yourself time to soak this island in. It's filled with cicadas endlessly chanting, horses trotting, seas lapping and local bells tolling - and us getting married :)
Accommodation
The island only has one main town, known as Hydra port/harbour and almost all of the island's accommodation is within walking distance of this.
The remainder of the island is national park and is easily accessed via water taxi.

There are no big hotel chains instead it's small boutique hotels, apartments and B&Bs.

Accommodation is limited on this little island, and in summer it can completely book out (trust us, we nearly ended up sleeping on the street one night)! As each place books out, the next one starts increasing their price. Meaning the closer you get to summer, the more you'll pay and the less options there are!

Our advice, book early! We know travel feels a bit risky due to the current situation but there are flexible rates - we've found some of the best below!
Food & Drink
Whether it's fresh fish caught that morning by the local fishermen, a Greek salad or a juicy gyros. Hydra has it.

Food options range from casual and traditional tavernas to gourmet ocean front restaurants.

Everything is served with Greek charisma and portion size, and will likely be followed by a non negotiable ouzo shot with the owner!

Some of the best food we've had in Greece was in Hydra - our top picks are below!
What to do
Enjoy doing absolutely nothing bar sipping cocktails on a secluded beach, otherwise fill your days with history, hikes and horses.

Get lost amongst the charming streets. There's no street names so directions from locals will include 'turn left at the orange cat'.

Disconnect, slow down, eat, drink, be merry and please attend our wedding!
We can't say 'I do' without you.
See you in Greece! Opa!
Should you need us for anything
